This past week has been solid. On Friday, I had chilean foot surgery! It was pretty interesting. For the last 6 months more or less, I have been having some problems with my feet. As a missionary, we walk around a good amount, like a ton, so there’s bound to be some problems. Luckily there’s this tiny jank hospital in Peor es Nada. It’s like the only building, lol, and the branch president’s wife works there, and every Friday a foot specialist comes in. So I went.
It was kinda freaky, honestly. She was using like a scalpel and a drill thing to go ham at my feet. Luckily it didn’t hurt too bad. We were all joking around that this was like my first pedicure, haha. But overall it helped, and my feet are doing a lot better.
We also had district conference this past week. That was good. It’s really cool to see the support of the mission presidency and district presidency. All the counselors and presidents knew who we were and they asked us how we we’re doing and what they could to do help. It’s cool to see that they really care, because it’s difficult trying to work with a branch whose district or stake presidency doesn’t care. But it’s awesome to have the support of others.
The back wheel of my bike got destroyed a few weeks ago by a giant rock, so it’s been getting repaired and I finally got it back this week. It’s good, because now we will be able to go out further. The area of Peor es Nada is like the biggest area of the mission. But the problem is that it’s pure campo. The towns are itty bitty tiny, but there’s a lot of them, because the sector is so huge. So now that we both have bikes, we’re gonna start heading out and trying to visit different parts. We will see how it goes.
Anyways the mission is great, I am really loving it. I hope that you guys have a great week.
